Peter grew up in Hampton in Middlesex where he attended a small Brethren church from the age of 8. Educated locally and at Kingston College, he did his undergraduate studies at Manchester University and then an MA in Leadership and Organisational Development at Lancaster University. He has over 40 years of ministry experience. Beginning ministry by working alongside David McAdam, who led Colne Valley Community church, he served as an associate for seven years. He was ordained in 1985 and went on to lead the church as the senior pastor for the next eight years. During that time, he met John Wimber and had a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit. This was followed by a significant visitation that led to healings and church growth – but also lots of problems.

 Peter stepped out of leading a local church in 1993 to rethink many aspects of leadership. He continued his post-graduate studies at Lancaster, whilst also working for three years with a company providing business start-up programs, helping entrepreneurs establish and grow their business. It was in this season he developed his skills in helping organisations to grow and develop in a healthy manner. He moved to Denmark in 1998, heading up the leadership training department of the International Apostolic Bible College in Kolding, (now known as Acts Academy), integrating his biblical understanding of leadership with his experience of growing organisations. This residential College had over one hundred students from over twenty different nations teaching in Danish, English and French.

 On returning to the UK in 2006 he joined the leadership team of Equippers, a church planting movement, with congregations today in 20 different countries. Under his leadership Equippers Surrey went from a church of 35 people to over 1,000 in 11 years, functioning in four locations. After handing over the senior role of leadership to his executive pastor, Mark Collard, he went on to be part of the Equippers Global Team, serving churches throughout Europe, the middle East, America and Australasia. His gifting lies in three main areas, leadership, teaching and the prophetic. Peter speaks at conferences, churches and helps develop younger leaders to fulfil their God given vision. He is passionate about Equipping believers. He lives in West London with his wife Jacquie. They have a son, five daughters and three grandsons.
